Creative Young Adult Artists
with a vision for ministry
Alternate Answer...
Alternate Answer, also known in Spanish as Respuesta
Alterna, began its music ministry in 1995 in the area of Keene, TX. This
a capella group is composed of five young people, Jose Aparicio, Adlay Campos,
Rafael Campos, Jackie Pizarro y Saul Sauza. Listening to the call to share
the love of Jesus, they have dedicated their lives and talents to His cause.
Although they come from different backgrounds--Mexico, Venezuela, and Puerto
Rico--they unite their voices to praise and share the love of Jesus.
As the name implies, the mission of Alternate Answer is to reach others, especially the young people and provide an alternate answer to their concerns and confusion. Their music focuses on friendship, brotherhood, and good relations among people, but above all in sharing the love of Jesus--Who is the only answer that fills us with joy and brings hope to the hurting heart. The response of Alternate Answer is one of praise and thankfulness for the loving sacrifice of our Savior.
Alternate Answer has shared their music throughout Texas. Among some of their presentations are those for youth congresses, music conventions, camp meetings, and local church events like revivals, evangelistic campaigns, and weeks of prayer. utilizing their time and talents to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. The
choir was founded in 1985 on the La Sierra campus of Loma Linda University.
Using dynamics and diction coupled with traditional gospel harmonies, their

as "classical" gospel. Another Peace is under the direction of
Dr. Alan B. Woodson and regularly performs to audiences in the Inland Empire,
Los Angeles, San Diego, and other areas in Southern California.
The music ministry of this choir is an integral component of its parent organization, Another Peace Ministries, Inc. The mission of this organization is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through the medium of music, drama, and service oriented programs. For more information, contact Antony Tyler, 909-352-3264.
Brett Barry...
With a firm grip on his guitar and direction in life,
Brett Barry delivers his music and message with intensity and compassion.
His music, a blend of acoustic pop and folk stylings, provides a colorful
palette for the thought-provoking lyrics that convict and encourage. His
message is clear and to the point, "We must ask ourselves 'Who am I?'
when we stand in the all-consuming light of Jesus Christ, a product of society...or
a reflection of His purpose? As Christians, we must be certain the Jesus
people are seeing in us is the One represented in the Gospel--the One who
lived in complete submission and service to God and man, so they will fall
in love with the real thing."
"I write about life--both good and bad--hoping that others will be able to learn more about life in Jesus through some of the things I have experienced. The adventure of a lifetime...that's the reality of living life unconditionally sold out to the absolute authority of Jesus Christ--a purpose worth pursing." Blanket...
Blanket was formed in 1993. The members included Chad
Carlson (guitars, back-up vocals), Jason Lassel (bass), and Stephen Reese
(lead vocals). During most of 1994 and 1995 Blanket performed in clubs around
Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Orlando, Florida. In September 1995 for an assembly
at Southern Adventist University, they asked Ether Moldrik (viola, back-up
vocals), and Conrad Hyde (cello), to perform a song. The sound was very
original and had a large impact on the audience. At that point the group
felt moved to change their music style to lift up Christ instead of self.
Soon after this change Stephen Core (drums), and Greg Waddle (sound technician)
were added making Blanket what it is today.
The intent of Blanket has been to reach a wide audience with its' unique style of music and Christian emphasis. With the experience of performing numerous concerts, the group has grown musically and spiritually. Each performance has brought new and unexpectantly rewarding spiritual benefits to those who've gathered to listen to them.
The members of Blanket are Seventh-day Adventist and direct their music towards the youth in an effort to bring back those who have slipped away from the true Musician. They direct their music towards Christians of all faiths and those who have yet to discover the Gospel. For more information regarding Blanket, contact Chad Carlson, 423-236-4586.
Common Ground...
Common Ground defined is a level of understanding in
the mind, body, and soul of Jesus. No matter the denomination, we all have
common ground in Christ. It is comprised of Lee Bowes (lead guitar, vocals),
Heather Harrison (vocals), Casey Kinnan (percussion), Tim McMillen (bass
guitar), and Elliot Smith (guitar,
vocals). Common Ground states its mission is to provide ground where people
can come, regardless of color, age, or social standing and learn of the
One who knows them best; to reach youth with music to groove to and lyrics
to grow to; and to challenge ourselves musically and spiritually.
How did Common Ground form? Elliot and Lee have been best friends since high school where they sang in a six-man a capella group, First Love. "When we got to college, First Love broke up and Lee and I felt a hole in our lives," says Elliot. "We began to look to our guitars as another way to minister through music." While working at a Christian summer camp and leading songer services, they met Tim and the three decided to start a band. In the fall of that same year, they all attended Union College where they cut two albums, Common Ground and In Need of Him and added Heather and Casey to the group. "We're all so different," says Lee. "Our backgrounds, our talents, our personalities, our styles--but we've found a common ground in Jesus. That's the message we want to take to the world." Mike Mennard...
Mike Mennard was always a little afraid of people. As
a hopelessly shy child in a very public family, Mike dreaded crowds--even
feared them. Yet Mike's mother saw the colorful personality that entertained
her for endless hours. He could perform complete concerts for her while
she cooked dinner. Finally, Mike's mother put a microphone in his hand and
sat him on the stage of their neighborhood church. Then something happened!
Mike's dad described it as "magical." Mike said it was like "opening
the door to a world much larger than mom's kitchen!"
Lately, Mike has felt the Lord leading him into new directions. His debut solo album, Grace (and Other Stuff), is an acoustic blend of folk and rock, embracing a gigantic theme--Grace! CCM Update wrote of the album: "Mennard's homespun tales and authoritative delivery anchor this collection." Mike says, "I don't really write songs about God. Instead, I write songs about my life. However, God is such a burning passion in my life that He ends up in every song I write." For more information, contact Heirborn Music, 707-965-0416.

Not By Chance...
Not By Chance is a contemporary Chritain music group
with a desire to serve God with their whole mind, heart, and soul. Their
prayer is that they will bring encouragement and hope to people trapped
in the whirlwind of daily struggles: fears, uncertainty, emptiness, pain,
and grief. They want to share how REAL Jesus is, day in and day out as they
themselves have each discovered. It is their belief that God works in every
life by divine design--through the good and bad--there is always a plan
that makes our highest destiny not by chance.
Not By Chance came together in the summer of 1997. Each member realizes that it was only the hand of God that brought them together to sing. If you ask them, they will tell you of many amazing miracles that God has perfromred to get them started in music ministry. Audiences will enjoy their original songs and the power of their ministry as they share from their hearts how God has touched their lives. They use a variety of artistic methods wich include music, testimony, and drama to reach the heart of the listener. Beautiful harmonies are blended to share about a REAL Jesus in a daily world. Each member brings a unique gift to the ministry to equip them as a powerful team that is used by God.
All four of the members in Not By Chance are excited about the opportunities that God is providing them with. You may be wondering what would prompt three mothers and a gifted actress to step out in faith and begin a music ministry; They would each tell you they feel an urgent call in their heart to serve God. They do not take God's calling lightly and are excited about how He is using them in His service. Most of all, Not By Chance would tell you they believe that Jesus is coming soon and they want to share God's incredible gift of salvation with all they meet. So if you are looking for Jesus in a real world of everyday life, you will be encouraged and uplifted by the ministry of Not By Chance. For more information contact Holly Greer, 828-665-7363.
