How to receive Jesus as Savior
John 3:3
Jesus answered and said unto Him, " Truly, truly, I say
to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of
God."
All have sinned:
Romans 3:23
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Sin is breaking the law
1 John 3:4
Every one who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and
sin is lawlessness.
Death is the penalty for sin
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is
eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The penalty must be paid
Hebrews 9:22
And according to the Law, one may almost say, all things are
cleansed with blood, and with out the shedding of blood there
is no forgiveness.
Jesus paid the penalty
1 Peter 2:24
and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, that
we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds
you were healed.
Salvation is a free gift
Ephesians 2:8, 9
For by grace you have been saved though faith; and that not
of yourselves, it is the gift of god;
not as a result of works, that no one should boast.
Receive this gift
John 1:12, 13
But as many as received Him, to then He gave the right to
become children of God, even to those who believe in His name,
who were born not of blood, nor the will of the flesh, nor
the will of man, but of God
Repent and confess your sins
1 John 1:9
There was the true light which, coming into the world, enlightens
every man
Acts 2:38
And Peter said to them, "Repent, and let each of you
be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of
sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Decide to obey God
John 15:10
If you keep my commandments; you will abide in my love; just
as I have kept My Father's commandments, and abide in His love.
Be willing to die to self
Galations 2:20
I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who
live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in
the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and
delivered Himself up for me.
