Being a charter student, I remember well the newness of it all and am excited that God continues to bless DAA.  Currently I work in a vocational organization that assists people in career changes and challenges.  (Layoffs, vocational rehab., college grads., etc.)  Thining back, I am amazed our parents and DAA staff could handle a bunch of teenagers so well.  As a parent of a teen, I sometimes just have to roll my eyes and remind God and myself that this is His child, not mine.  God bless to all.

My wife Connie was the school nurse and I taught Industrial Education classes, served as maintenance man and assisted as boys dean, bus driver and boiler man.  We had 2 small sons at the time we were there, and Connie became pregnant with our third son while there.  Mr Hoffman was the principal and Mr Thomas was the Math teacher, Mr Boyd was the Music man and Mrs Worth was in charge of the cafeteria (Oh! can I remember the chili beans with cottage cheese and cinnamon rols on Friday Nights).  Mr Petterson was the Science teacher, and Mr Worth was the farm manager. Connie and I went back to PUC at the end of the school year and I was going for my Masters degree in Industrial Education, but ended up going to Palmer College of Chiropractic and getting a Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1977.  Went back to California to Practice for 6 years then moved to Wildwood GA and later 1990 ended up in Columbus, GA where I practiced for awhile longer and in 2000 I retired from Chiropractic and we now own our own internet based business. We still have DAA on our minds and in our prayers and continue to enjoy getting the news of what's going on even though we were there only for one year over 30 years ago.  The Lord has truly been blessing the school and its work with the young people of North and South Dakota.  We are proud to have been a part of the history of DAA.  May God continue to bless and prosper DAA is our Prayer.

I didn't actually graduate from DAA, but I attended DAA my freshman year in 1995.  I graduated high school in 1998 in Detroit Lakes, MN.  I recently got my AAS degree in Legal Administration Assistant.  I've been married for 5 years now to my husband Chad Wertz.  We now live in Detroit Lakes, MN.  Even though I was only there for one year, I made a lot of good friends and a lot of good memories.  It would be nice to hear from anyone I went to school with in 1995.

2nd (updated) Post: May1999, I married Kalie Conrad, of Hagerstown, MD. We both graduated in May2000. July 2000, we moved to Richmond Va area. I got a job teaching at Richmond Academy of SDA. I am teaching Physics, Chemistry, 9-12 Bible,7 & 8 Science, and Computer Science.
