Daystar of the morning
So glorious and bright
Standing as the sentinel of night.
Other stars are fading
Day is coming fast.
Watchman of the morning
Will this day be the last.
Christ has been our DayStar
Our hope through sin's long night
His love our shining beacon
His truth the path of right.
Look! the glorious sunlight
Is breaking across the land,
The DayStar, now the blazing sun
Brings healing to each redeemed band.
Be faithful weary Christians
Soon His glorious light we'll see
Sin will be forever gone
And with Him we will be.
