Make time to savor things…. Make time to visit with your friends a bit And it is fun (or did you know) To have a chair where you can sit And watch the people as they go Along the sidewalks to and fro. Make time somehow in busy days To rest yourself and just enjoy, The chatter of a tiny girl The antics of a little boy, They grow so fast and go away We only have then for a day. Make time to talk to older folk They'll love to have you spell, They have so many tales to tell To a kind listener who spares A little time for them and theirs. Make time to read the blessed book We need its strength and peace these days To satisfy our inner need For he is truly blest who prays And life takes on a sweeter glow If we just pause and take it slow, Make time to savor common things And taste the joy that quiet brings.
