As the sun is setting in the west,
Christ's saving power shines at its best,
Down through the ages from long ago,
That the human race all might know
This saving power from sinful woe.
All things His grace sufficient to meet,
We'll cast confessed at the Savior's feet,
That in that day with victory sweet,
In Christ alone we'll stand complete,
No worthiness of our own to bring,
But Jesus' blood, our Savior, King.
This song through ages let us sing,
The Lamb's split blood salvation to bring,
This lost world so deep in sin,
To restore back to His sovereign reign.
With our hope and faith both made complete,
We'll cast our crowns at Jesus' feet,
Many victories won in hope replete,
We bow before the mercy seat.
