Adam
and Eve were given everything for their happiness,
including eternal life. They didn’t do
anything to earn these blessings. It was a free
gift from God because of His great love for them.
Despite God’s goodness and all that He had done for
Adam and Eve, they chose to disobey God and bring upon
themselves the consequences of their disobedience.
We, like Adam and Eve, have evidences of God’s love
and the reality of eternal life before us. And
we, like them, can choose God’s goodness and gift of
eternal life or we can reject what He has for us by
our choices.
