A host of students, villagers and SDA church members
were also present to live this memorable momentum. The ceremony
officially began with a relathon from the Santa Elena Border to the grounds of
the Belize Adventist Junior College.
As soon as the "education torch" arrived the ground
breaking site, Ms. Rhodie Olivarez song the National Anthem.
The presence of our Heavenly Father was invited through
an invocation made by Mr. Abilio Cima, treasurer of the Belize SDA Mission.
A group of students from our evening
division program gave a warm welcome using a sun flower in which all petals
represented an area in which education assists, such as health, agriculture,
salvation among others.
The following invited guests gave their
speeches and this is what was outstanding and remarkable:
|
|
|
Dr. Raul Clarke
He gave the history of BAJC and envisioned our grand and great-grand children attending BAJC. He also shared with us when his staff had to spend hours writing down the courses and programs of BAJC. |
|
|
|
Pr. Earnal Scott (Chair, Belize SDA Mission)
He thanked MOES for the significant support given to BAJC thus far. He strongly believes that BAJC has the potential to grow and expand being now an autonomous institution. |
|
|
|
Mr. Erwin Rancharan (Education Council, Corozal)
Loves the campus and strongly supports the vocational training being offered at BAJC, especially in the agriculture area. |
|
|
|
Hon. Florencio Marin (Corozal South East, Area Representative)
He has always been a great instrument in adventist educatio offered in the Corozal District. He committed himself to support our new born institution in its growth and development. He strongly believes in SDA education. |

Pr. Aquilino Jesse, Dean of the Belize
Adventist Junior College then handed over to the invited guests a shovel to
break the ground site of the future Belize Adventist Junior College buildings.
It was a memorable occasion and
those who were present will always cherish it. We pray that with
God's help we will soon have our own buildings so that our community and nation
be benefited from BAJC's fruits.
How can I help?
