Adventist schools are special places where children can
learn in a loving, accepting, safe environment. There are 13 elementary schools and two academies serving constituents throughout the State of Arizona. Click here for a list of our Schools.
The Seventh-day Adventist Church operates perhaps the largest Protestant educational programs in the world. Statistics for 2000 indicate 6,046 schools are operated by
the church, of which 94 are colleges and universities, 35 worker training institutes, 1,126 secondary schools, and 4,809 primary schools, with a total enrollment of 1,065,092.
Students do not have to be baptized members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church to attend. Many students receive scholarships to attend Adventist schools through the Arizona tax credit program from Arizona Adventist Scholarships.
Each year we are required by the State of Arizona and the Pacific Union Conference education code to have a required number of days in school. Click here for a School Calendar indicating a total of 180 teacher/student classroom days for
the 2002-2003 School year.
From time to time there are positions open in the Adventist school system in Arizona. All openings will be posted on Adventist JobNet.
Our teachers are certified by the State of Arizona and the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Every year teachers attend two in-service training sessions.
Many of our teachers have a fifth year of formal education, and/or have earned a Master's degree.
