What type of advertising do you find the
most persuasive? Why?
Donna, September 22, 2000
Food, you look at them and they make you hungry.
Roger, March 4, 2001
THE ONES WHERE THEY ARE REALLY PUSHY ON THEIR
PRODUCTS
Sherril, August 8, 2001
I don't trust any commercial ads any more, so I
guess I have to say word of mouth from personal
associates.
Tamara, December 12, 2002
I find advertising that is based on facts most
persuasive. I like to be able to compare
apples to apples and see the true difference.
Have
people you know helped you cope with the pressures and
stresses of life? How?
Donna, September 22, 2000
Some, but God does most of the work.
Roger, March 4, 2001
YES, BY TAKING MY PROBLEMS AND ASKING THEM FOR
THEIR ADVISE ON WHAT IS BORING ME
Sherril, August 8, 2001
Not really, except a few times that my family
has.
Tamara, December 12, 2002
There are a couple people in my life who love me
unconditionally who are very empathetic and
caring to me. They have been amazing in
helping me with difficult times.
How many instances can you remember from
the life of Jesus when it appeared that the dragon would
devour Him?
Donna, September 22, 2000
After He had finished fasting when Satan tempted
Him three times.
Roger, March 4, 2001
SEVERAL
Sherril, August 8, 2001
When He fled to Egypt as a child, as He was being
tempted in the desert and of course His
crucifiction. Actually He was sought after
by the dragon His entire life.
Tamara, December 12, 2002
The political power through Herod tried to kill
Jesus when he was first born by having all the
children two and under killed in Bethlehem, just
after Jesus’ birth, when they fled to
Egypt to stay safe. The crowd gathered to
stone and take him in John 10:31. The
people sought to slay Jesus in the follow verses
also: John 5:16, John 7:7, 11; John 11:11, and of
course when they took Jesus to be
crucified. The “ruling”
group was always trying to catch him at what He
said and did to trap Him and accuse Him of some
wrong doing, as is exemplified by where it
mentions the spies and the trick questions
Have you ever faced a dragon-like
problem? How did you survive?
Donna, September 22, 2000
Yes, I prayed to Jesus. I also gave the problem
to Jesus.
Roger, March 4, 2001
YES BY TURNING IT OVER TO JESUS
Sherril, August 8, 2001
Several. I prayed.
Tamara, December 12, 2002
I have had dragon like problems. I survive
my problems by going to God in His Word and
searching for His guidance. I also pray and
turn over my concerns to Him. He does make
a way when I completely submit to His will.
Are you comfortable with Jesus, the
shepherd of love, ruling with an iron staff? Why?
Donna, September 22, 2000
Yes, because He rules with love.
Roger, March 4, 2001
YES FOR HE HAS THE BEST MIND FOR ME
Sherril, August 8, 2001
Yes, because He will rule us in love and
fairness.
Tamara, December 12, 2002
Yes. Jesus is Just, Loving, Trustworthy,
Holy and Right. I know that all His
decisions are correct and without mistake.
God is Love. When Love rules in Truth,
there will be nothing to fear if we follow Him
and obey Him.
In what ways are you encouraged to know
that "Satan was not strong enough?"
Donna, September 22, 2000
When things go the way they should and my
blessings come.
Roger, March 4, 2001
FOR WE WOULD BE PRECUCATED ALOT MORE THEN WE ARE
Sherril, August 8, 2001
If He wasn't then He isn't now.
Tamara, December 12, 2002
As fierce as Satan appears, because he is
"at large" in this world, God is bigger
and more powerful. The creator of the angel
Lucifer who chose to become Satan, is my
creator. The creature can never be more
powerful than it's Creator. God is Almighty
and ultimately in control, even though without
our eyes completely "open" it appears
that evil is in control. God is
Almighty! Satan will never win if we stay
on Jesus' side!
Satan is the accuser. How do you relate
to someone who tells tales and gossips behind your back?
Donna, September 22, 2000
I feel hurt.
Roger, March 4, 2001
IT HURTS BUT THEN I JUST THINK OF WHERE IT WAS
COMING FROM
Sherril, August 8, 2001
I feel hurt and angry.
Tamara, December 12, 2002
When appropriate, I confront them in a loving
manner to find out what the issue is. If
things are simply beyond repair, I am very
careful around them not to give them any possible
cause for there own issues. People who
spend their time tearing down other people, are
their own biggest problem. Their problem is
internal. They tear down others to try to
make themselves look or feel better, which it
doesn't do.
How will your personal witness to others
help you to overcome?
Donna, September 22, 2000
As you tell other about the love of Jesus you
realize He loves you.
Roger, March 4, 2001
BY LETTING THEM SEE JESUS IN ME
Sherril, August 8, 2001
The more I witness for Jesus, the more He
witnesses for me.
Tamara, December 12, 2002
As I step out in faith and witness to others of
Jesus' love, the strong my life line to Him
becomes. It is sort of like
exercising. As a person continues to
exercise a certain muscle it grows stronger and
stronger. Then if something comes up
outside of the exercise arena, the muscle is
strong enough to do what is needed. That is
how it seems with witnessing and sharing God's
love. The tie to His love grows stronger
with each day and situation where I share His
love, so when tough times come, I have a strong
tie to hold onto, and it holds onto me also.
What do you learn from Jesus'
description of the fall of Satan?
Donna, September 22, 2000
Satan will fall.
Roger, March 4, 2001
NOT TO TAKE IN WHAT SATAN DID BUT WHAT JESUS HAS
DONE AND IS DOING FOR US
Sherril, August 8, 2001
That it is through Him that Satan falls and not
anything that we do. He warns us against
pride and reminds us of grace.
Tamara, December 12, 2002
Satan was cast down to this earth, and as we
follow Jesus, we gain all power even over evil
and the fallen angels. Even though we have
access to such power through Jesus, we should
focus on following Jesus and doing His will and
our lives in Him, instead of the ability to
overpower evil through the gift He has given
us. We are to focus on God, not the Devil.
Why do you think this so enrages Satan?
Donna, September 22, 2000
He knows he has a short time.
Roger, March 4, 2001
FOR HE KNOWS THAT HE DOES NOT HAVE MUCH TIME
Sherril, August 8, 2001
Because He knows He has lost the war. He
knows exactly what is in front of Him.
Tamara, December 12, 2002
Just like so many people that make wrong
decisions and refuse to admit their mistake,
Satan has sealed his fate by going against God
and not turning back when he still could.
He chose to continue in His pride, and instead of
taking responsibility for his wrong decision, he
blames everyone else, especially God.
People who persist in wrong most often blame
others for their problems. Satan is very
knowledgeable and knows the bible (as he so well
quoted it to Jesus himself.) He knows that
he is fighting a loosing cause. He knows
that he only has a short period of time left to
inflict as much suffering and pain on God through
the persecution of His children. Just as
people faced with final sentencing, He is angry
with everyone and taking it out on everyone he
can, while he still can.
What does this suggest to you about
God's care -- is it primarily spiritual care or physical
care?
Donna, September 22, 2000
They overcame by the blood of the Lamb.
Roger, March 4, 2001
IT IS PRIMARILY CARE
Sherril, August 8, 2001
Definately spiritual care.
Tamara, December 12, 2002
God's care is all encompassing. Physical
comfort is not always (or even often) a sign of
God's blessing. But joy and peace during
pain is a sign of His blessing. As the
previous verse states, even unto death they are
faithful. Having the peace of knowing that
even in death we can be held in the hands of our
savior is the care that we need. Dying
outside of God's path, that is the only real
problem in this life. We must serve and
follow Him, and we will be rewarded (especially
in heaven.)
How did the opening up of the land of
religious and political freedom in the "new
world" in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries
help the people of God?
Donna, September 22, 2000
They had more freedom to worship God.
Roger, March 4, 2001
THEY WERE ABLE TO GO FOREWARD FOR JESUS
Sherril, August 8, 2001
It gave them a safe place to spread the true
gospel.
Tamara, December 12, 2002
That is why the pilgrims came to America, to
escape the terrible persecution and restriction
on religious freedom. God opened up the
path to the "new world" to allow people
to come and have the choice and freedom to follow
the truth, if they wanted. This nation (US)
was founded for those reasons, and has provided
many with the opportunity to seek Him. They
were able to get away from the political pressure
to worship according to man's traditions and go
back to the Bible.
In this key verse how are God's last day
people identified?
Donna, September 22, 2000
Those who obey God's commandments and hold to the
testimony of Jesus.
Roger, March 4, 2001
OBEY GOD'S COMMANDMENTS
Sherril, August 8, 2001
Those who obey God's commandments and study and
believe in bible prophecy.
Tamara, December 12, 2002
God's last day people are the ones that
"OBEY GOD'S Commandments" AND
"hold to the testimony of
Jesus." It is those who are
obedient in love to all of God's commandments,
not a legalistic follow 1, 2, 3, but an obedience
through love found in Jesus to obey and testify.
Whom do you consider to be the most
"charismatic" Christian leader today?
Donna, September 22, 2000
Jesus.
Roger, March 4, 2001
JOHN HAGEE
Sherril, August 8, 2001
Jesus is the greatest, but I think you might be
looking for the pope as an answer.
Tamara, December 12, 2002
Billy Graham
What would you say is his greatest
potential for good or evil?
Donna, September 22, 2000
The television can be used for good or evil.
Roger, March 4, 2001
THE WAY HE PRESENTS HIS MESSAGES
Sherril, August 8, 2001
If the pope is the answer, its definately evil
because he misconstrues the truth.
Tamara, December 12, 2002
I believe that he is very sincere in his beliefs,
but he
