Has a church building ever made you feel
close to God or far from God? Why did you feel that way?
Donna, September 16, 2000
Close to God, because the Holy Spirit is there.
Roger, March 1, 2001
SOMETIMES I FEEL CLOSE TO GOD AND SOMETIMES FAR
FROM GOD
Dwight, July 22, 2001
Close to God as other Christians are there for
the same purpose to share in praise and worship,
giving thanks and to hear the word and be
spiritually filled for the coming week.
Sherril, August 5, 2001
Yes, I went there to feel safe once.
Tamara, November 19, 2001
I have experienced both. Where I now go to
church, and it is very quite, I sometimes feel
very close to God. I have visited some
churches where there seemed to be no peace or
feeling of Holiness present.
Linda, December 14, 2001
YES-BECAUSE YOUR IN THE HOUSE OF GOD WHEN YOUGO
TO CHURCH IT GIVES ME A BLESSING TO LISTEN TO THE
MESSAGE AND THE GOSPEL MUSIC WE SING
If you could say one sentence to God in
favor of each member of your family what would it be?
Donna, September 16, 2000
Thank-you God for my son.
Roger, March 1, 2001
MAY GOD GRACE AND PEACE GO WITH YOU
Dwight, July 22, 2001
that the Holy Spirit draw thema and open thier
eyes to the truth of truth about God and His
purpose for mankind.
Sherril, August 5, 2001
If you could expose yourself to them like you
have to me, I know they would make faithful
warriors for your glory.
Tamara, November 19,2001
Dear God, please bless each memeber of my family
with your love, peace, joy, and give them wisdom
and understanding to become all that you want
them to become in You.
Linda, December 14, 2001
I THANK GOD FOR THE ONES THAT LEARNED ABOUT GOD
AND GOT SAVED AND BAPTIZED.
How
is the temple of God clearly identified in Revelation
15:5?
Donna, September 16, 2000
The Tabernacle of Testimony is opened.
Roger, March 1, 2001
THE TABERNACLE OF THE TESTIMONY IN HEAVEN WAS
OPEN
Dwight, July 22, 2001
the tabernacle of the Testimony
Sherril, August 5, 2001
The tabernacle of testimony in heaven.
Tamara, November 19,2001
This temple is specificially in HEAVEN, and it is
the tabernacle of the Testimony
Linda, December 14, 2001
AND AFTER THAT I LOOKED;AND BEHOLD,THE TEMPLE OF
THE TABERNACLE OF THE TESTIMONY IN HEAVEN WAS
OPENED.
Helen, June 15, 2002
The tabernacle is in Heaven and open.
In what way is the "testimony"
defined as a very central part of the religion of the
Bible?
Donna, September 16, 2000
The testimony is given by God.
Roger, March 1, 2001
HE WROTE ON THE TABLETS THE WORDS OF THE COVENANT
OF THE TEN COMMANDMENTS
Dwight, July 22, 2001
it was written by God's own hands
Sherril, August 5, 2001
The testimony of the tablets baring the 10
commandments.
Tamara, November 19,2001
The Ten Commandments were the two tablets of the
Testimony. These were placed in the ark,
and placed in the the Most Holy place in the
temple.
Linda, December 14, 2001
THE TEN COMMANDMENTS WERE WROTE UPON THE TABLES
THE WORDS OF THE COVENANT.
Helen, June 15, 2002
because of the Ten Commandants.
Because the Ten Commandments were placed
in the sacred ark within the tabernacle, how was this
structure and ark identified?
Donna, September 16, 2000
It was divided by a vail.
Roger, March 1, 2001
IN THE ARK OF THE COVENANT
Dwight, July 22, 2001
the Ark of the Testimony was placed in the most
Holy Place
Sherril, August 5, 2001
The tabernacle of the testimony of the Most Holy.
Tamara, November 19,2001
After the Testimony (Ten Commandments) were
placed in the ark, it was then called the
"ark of the Testimony". Then when
they ark with the Ten Commandments were placed in
the temple, it was then called the
"tabernacle of the Testimony".
Linda, December 14, 2001
THOU SHALT HANG UP THE VEIL UNDER THE TACHES,THAT
THOU MAYEST BRING IN THITHER WITHIN THE VEIL. THE
ARK OF THE TESTIMONY, AND THE VEIL SHALL DIVIDE
UNTO YOU BETWEEN THE HOLY PLACE AND THE MOST
HOLY.
Helen, June 15, 2002
It was given to them by God.
What possible reasons can you see for
God showing John that the temple in heaven contained the
Ten Commandments?
Donna, September 16, 2000
Because God gave the Ten Commandments to Moses.
Roger, March 1, 2001
THAT THEY ARE STILL IN FORCE TODAY AS IN MOSES'
DAY
Dwight, July 22, 2001
that it still stands as the foundation of God's
government
Sherril, August 5, 2001
So that we would know that God expects us to keep
His commandments.
Tamara, November 19,2001
To confirm that they are still the solid base
upon which we should worship God. The Ten
Commandments are a reflection of God's character
and love, upon where all sin can be identified
when one of these laws is broken. It is the
basis from which we show our love to God (first
4) and how we are to love our neighbor (last 6.)
Linda, December 14, 2001
SO HE COULD GO THERE AND KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS IN
HIS HEART TO OBEY THEM.
Helen, June 15, 2002
So we would know where it was. or is.
What part of public worship do you enjoy
the most? The least?
Donna, September 16, 2000
All of it, when it ends.
Roger, March 1, 2001
I ENJOY ALL OF THE WORSHIP SERVICE IN GENERAL
Dwight, July 22, 2001
the message preached and Sabbath School
Sherril, August 5, 2001
Sabbath school the most and singing the least
because of my terrible voice.
Tamara, November 19,2001
The teaching, or sermon. I love to learn
more about how we are to love one another and
God, and all the examples God gives us from His
Word. This is my favorite part. I
also like it when we come together to pray in
unity & sing. The part I like the least
is when people seem to get caught up in being
worried about the details or other people's
issues or character when the focus is to be
Jesus.
Linda, December 14, 2001
THE MESSAGE I ENJOY. WAITING FOR
CHURCH TO START.
Helen, June 15, 2002
being there. don't like to talk in public.
How can the Ten commandments help you
discern between the true and false?
Donna, September 16, 2000
Worshipping idols is false worship.
Roger, March 1, 2001
BY SEEING IF IT LINE UP WITH HIS COMMANDMENTS
Dwight, July 22, 2001
By telling you who, how, when and on what day,
and how to live with our brother man
Sherril, August 5, 2001
By making sure that it doesn't conflict with any
of His commandments.
Tamara, November 19,2001
We are to worship God our Creator only. We
are not to put anything or anyone before
Him. We are to worship Him on His holy day
the Sabbath, and we are to let no work happen on
that day so we may focus totally on Him.
And we are to love Him and others. Any
worship calling for anything else would be false
worship.
Linda, December 14, 2001
BY READING EXODUS 20:3-17 THAT TELL YOU ABOUT
GODS COMMANDMENTS FOR US TO FOLLOW AND OBEY.
Helen, June 15, 2002
yes I think so by remembering them.
What is the sacred ark also called in
Revelation 11:19?
Donna, September 16, 2000
The ark of God's Testiment.
Roger, March 1, 2001
THE TEMPLE OF GOD THE ARK OF HIS COVENANT
Dwight, July 22, 2001
the Ark of His Covenant
Sherril, August 5, 2001
The ark of His covenant.
Tamara, November 19,2001
ark of HIS covenant
Linda, December 14, 2001
THE ARK OF HIS TESTAMENT.
Helen, June 15, 2002
ark of the covenment
How does the new covenant agreement of
God with His people change the place where the
commandments are written?
Donna, September 16, 2000
He puts their hearts and minds.
Roger, March 1, 2001
I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THEIR HEARTS
Dwight, July 22, 2001
n your hearts that you love it and in your minds
that you know it
Sherril, August 5, 2001
He then puts them in their hearts and minds.
Tamara, November 19,2001
Instead of the Ten Commanments just being written
on stone, they are now to be written in our
hearts and minds.
Linda, December 14, 2001
I WILL PUT MY LAWS INTO THIER HEARTS,AND IN THEIR
MINDS I WILL WRITE THEM.
Helen, June 15, 2002
I will put the law in their hearts and on their
mind.
If a civil or religious law is written
on your heart, how will that affect you differently than
a law that is just written in a book?
Donna, September 16, 2000
You are more likely to remember it.
Roger, March 1, 2001
WE ARE TO DO OUR DUTY AS WELL AS OUR CHRISTIAN
DUTY
Dwight, July 22, 2001
it becomes a part of you
Sherril, August 5, 2001
If it's in my heart, I will believe and obey it.
Tamara, November 19,2001
You do out of LOVE and it is a joy, instead of
the feeling of "if I break it I will be
penalized."
Linda, December 14, 2001
YOU WILL OBEY A CIVIL OR RELIGIOUS LAW MORE IF
ITS IN YOUR HEART QUICKER THEN A BOOK.
Helen, June 15, 2002
It would be more important.
Can you remember a time when you had a
drastic change in attitude to a law? What happened?
Donna, September 16, 2000
Yes, more obedience to the forth Commandment.
Roger, March 1, 2001
NO
Dwight, July 22, 2001
the seat belt law where i had to go to court
because the police claimed i wasnt wearing any
when he saw me. I had to pay a fine of $1500
Jamaican dollars or go to jail.
Sherril, August 5, 2001
Yes
Tamara, November 19,2001
Yes, I know that laws are in place to protect and
keep safe. Once I really understood I
always want to keep the law, and never transgress
(both moral and civil.) I use to drive just
a little over the speed limit, but I have a
respect for all law and know it is for the best
to keep all law. There is also great
releif. I never have to be concerned with
being "caught" doing something wrong.
Linda, December 14, 2001
I DO NOT REMEMBER ABOUT HAVING A DRASTIC CHANGE
IN ATTITUDE TO A LAW.
Helen, June 15, 2002
no
How are God's true people recognized by
their relationship to His commandments?
Donna, September 16, 2000
By keeping His Commandments.
Roger, March 1, 2001
HAVE THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS CHRIST WHO KEEP THE
COMMANDMENTS OF GOD
Dwight, July 22, 2001
those who obey the commandments of God and keep
the testimonies of Jesus Christ
Sherril, August 5, 2001
Those who obey His commandments.
Tamara, November 19,2001
Those people that KEEP GOD'S Commandments.
So there will be some people that do keep His
Commandments, some who do not, and then there
will be those who put people's commandments or
traditions before God's Commandments (the last
two groups will NOT be God's true people.)
Linda, December 14, 2001
HAVE THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS CHRIST.
HAVE FAITH IN JESUS.
Helen, June 15, 2002
they obey God's laws and keep His commandents.
What does the connection between
"keep the commandments" and "faith to
Jesus" in Revelation 14:12 tell you about salvation?
Donna, September 16, 2000
Those that are saved keep His Commandments and
have faith in Jesus.
Roger, March 1, 2001
WHO KEEPS THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD AND THE FAITH
OF JESUS
Dwight, July 22, 2001
remain faithful to Jesus Christ
Sherril, August 5, 2001
That Jesus requires us to keep His commandments.
Tamara, November 19,2001
They are together. Without faith in Jesus,
there is no keeping of the Commandments. It
is through our faith in Him that we can have them
in our hearts and minds AND KEEP them.
Linda, December 14, 2001
HERE IS THE PATIENCE OF THE SAINTS: HERE ARE THEY
THAT KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD, AND THE FAITH
OF JESUS.
Helen, June 15, 2002
that it is important for salvation.
How is the way of salvation, made
possible by the Lamb, proclaimed in the temple?
Donna, September 16, 2000
They that come out of the great tribulation and
have washed their robes in the blood of the Lamb
of God.
Roger, March 1, 2001
HAVE REDEEM US TO GOD BY YOUR BLOOD WASHED THEIR
ROBES AND MAKE THEM WHITE IN THE BLOOD OF THE
LAMB
Dwight, July 22, 2001
by the shedding of His blood He purchased our
freedom for the kingdom
Sherril, August 5, 2001
Because they have washed their robes (been
forgiven and repented from sin), in the blood of
the Lamb (the faith in the love of Jesus, that He
would die in our place).
Tamara, November 19,2001
Through the sacrifice and blood of the Lamb
(Jesus) is found salvation. No other
way. He took our sin and gives us life when
we accept His sacrifice for our sin and turn to
live for and in Him.
Linda, December 14, 2001
MADE THEM WHITE IN THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB.
Helen, June 15, 2002
sining a song by the angels.
Doesg the realization the Jesus can be
speaking for you in the temple right now give you a
feeling of awe, gratitude, importance, or relief? Why?
Donna, September 16, 2000
Yes, I know He loves me.
Roger, March 1, 2001
YES I CAN SENSE THE MOVING OF THE SPIRIT IN ME
Dwight, July 22, 2001
because He is the only one that can do it for me
and cared enough to leave heaven to die for my
sin so i might have eternal life
Sherril, August 5, 2001
All of them, for obvious reasons. Becaues I
am a sinner and He loves me.
Tamara, November 19,2001
I feel much relief and gratitute to the One who
not only died for me, but pleads my case.
He defends me and intercedes for me. What
great love God has for us.
Linda, December 14, 2001
YES- BECAUSE HE BECAME MY LORD AND SAVIOR,AND PUT
MY FAITH AND TRUST IN GOD.
Helen, June 15, 2002
awe
How can you, without seeming to be a
legalist, explain to a Christian and a non-Christian your
desire and motivation to keep all of God's commandments?
Donna, September 16, 2000
Show them them where is says it in the Bible.
Roger, March 1, 2001
BY KEEPING THE COMMANDMENTS I AM IN HIS WILL
Dwight, July 22, 2001
If i love Hime i'll keep His commandment as it is
His will and requirement for a happy holy life
with Him
Sherril, August 5, 2001
I think it's in 1John, "If you love me, you
will keep my commandments." I
love Him!
Tamara, November 19,2001
It is just like if my husband were to ask me to
do something. I do it out of love for him,
to show that I care for him, not because of
fear. I want to make my husand happy and
please him. When I do the opposite of
something that he has asked me to do, then my
actions would not be out of love, and I don't
want to see him displeased. The same is for
God, I never want to hurt or disappoint the One
who created me and died for me. I want to
please Him by doing all as He has
instructed. It is not by my own power even,
it is through faith in Him and leaning on Him,
that I can keep His words and guidelines for
life. - as the Bible states "If you love Me
keep my commandments"
Linda, December 14, 2001
BEING A CHRISTIAN AND A CHILD OF GOD YOU ARE TO
BE JOYFUL AND HAPPY AND OBEY ALL OF GODS
COMMANDMENTS.
Helen, June 15, 2002
because it will give me eternal life.
What motive will a true Christian have
for living according to the Ten Commandments?
Donna, September 16, 2000
Jesus said it Himself that if you love keep my
commandments.
Roger, March 1, 2001
THAT HE WILL SOMEDAY BE WITH JESUS IN ETERNITY
Dwight, July 22, 2001
love of God and that He first loved us
Sherril, August 5, 2001
Never wanting to hurt Him. It hurts God
when we sin.
Tamara, November 19,2001
Love to God, wanting to never trample on anything
that is important to Him. Wanting to please
Him and show respect for Him. It was my
breaking of the Commandments that nailed Him to
the cross, I don't want Him to have to feel that
pain or any pain again.
Linda, December 14, 2001
TO HAVE ETERNAL LIFE WITH JESUS CHRIST.
Helen, June 15, 2002
eternal life with Jesus.
Do you believe that your salvation was
expensive or cheap for the Lamb of God? Why?
Donna, September 16, 2000
Cheap,because He loves us.
Roger, March 1, 2001
EXPENSIVE FOR HE GAVE HIS LIFE FOR MY SINS
Dwight, July 22, 2001
expensive as He let Glory to come down to be
tempted and persecuted and rediculed and still
because of love overcame for me.
Sherril, August 5, 2001
Expensive, because He suffered complete
separation from the Father.
Tamara, November 19,2001
EXPENSIVE. He not only was beaten, bruise,
bled, and nailed to a cross. He was
abondoned by His followers, and even separated
from God our Father, because God could not look
upon our sin as Jesus took it upon Himself, thus
crying My God why have Thou forsaken Me.
The absolute worse thing was that He had to be
separated from the Father because of what I did
so I could be reconciled to God.
Linda, December 14, 2001
NO-BECAUSE I LOVE THE LORD WITH ALL MY HEART AND
FOR WHAT HE DID. HE DIED ON THE CROSS FOR MY
SINS.
Helen, June 15, 2002
expensive all the sins He carried.
Does one part of the temple mean more to
you now -- the ark, the lamps, or the altar of incense?
Why?
Donna, September 16, 2000
The ark because the Ten Commandments are there.
Roger, March 1, 2001
NO THEY ALL MEANS SOMETHING TO ME IN MY
RELATIONSHIP TO JESUS
Dwight, July 22, 2001
the lamps because the light reveals sin in my
life as well as shows me the way to a new life in
Jesus Christ
Sherril, August 5, 2001
It all means more now that I understand it, but
the alter of incense is the most significant
because it is my lifeline to built a relationship
with my creator.
Tamara, November 19,2001
They are all so important. Without any part
I am lost. I need the daily Bread of Life
from the Word, I need the alter of incense to
connect with God through prayer continuously, I
need the light of the Spirit to guide me
constantly. The love and sacrifice that the
ark represent are the ultimate intercession for
me. It is by God's perfect design that He
has made a way for us.
Linda, December 14, 2001
YHE ALTER OF INCENSE- BECAUSE JESUS IS SOMETIMES
SEEN THERE.
Helen, June 15, 2002
no I can't picture it.
