OATMEAL & MUSHROOM PATTIES

  • 1 minced onion
  • 2 Tbsps margarine
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 1 can of mushrooms (fresh is better)
  • 2 1/2 cups oatmeal
  • 1 tsp vegex or Marmite in 1/2 cup of hot water
  • 1/2 cup evaporate milk
  • 1/2 tsp sage & poultry seasoning
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 2 soup cans of hot water with 1/2 tsp of vegex

Directions:

Sauté minced onions then add to a large mixing bowl. Mix all ingredients except - mushroom soup/2 cans of hot water. Allow to stand for 30 minutes. Form ingredients into patties and fry until brown in vegetable oil. Arrange fried patties into a baking dish and cover with mixture of hot water, mushroom soup and vegex/marmite. Bake in a 350 degree oven for approximately 1/2 an hour until fragrant. Serve with garlic potatoes, fresh green salad with lemon juice/olive oil dressing. Bon Appetite!
