My Dear Sister,

Greetings in Christ!  Over the past month+, we have had an opportunity to look at daily devotionals from the book that Bruce Wilkinson based on the “Prayer of Jabez,” found in the Bible at 1 Chronicles 4:10.  There was a wonderful response to this effort.  Starting today (sometime) I will be beginning to send out a series I am calling “Reflections on the Body.”  These devotionals are from the book Fearfully and Wonderfully Made by British physician Dr. Paul Brand and Christian author Philip Yancey.  Megan will set up a Feedback page like the one we have for the Jabez devotionals, so feel free to use it.  I took the following review from

http://www.covenantbookstore.com/fearandwonma.html :

By Philip Yancey & Dr. Paul Brand

Mysterious, intricate, pulsing with energy…

The human body is an endlessly fascinating repository of secrets. The miracle of the skin, the strength and structure of the bones, the dynamic balance of the muscles…your physical being is knit according to a pattern of incredible purpose.

In this book, best-selling writer Philip Yancey and renowned surgeon Dr. Paul Brand explore the human body. Join them in a remarkable journey through inner space – a spellbinding world of cells, systems, and chemistry that bears the impress of a still deeper, unseen reality.

This Gold Medallion Award-winning book uncovers eternal statements that God has made into the very structure of our bodies, presenting captivating insights into the Body of Christ.

If you do not wish to receive this series, or if you want to cancel at any time, just let me know by emailing me at angelco_op@hotmail.com

<<--I would like to draw your attention to the little blank box with the red X, in the border-frame.  This is a brand new feature we are calling "Just Joelle."   Joelle Duchesne, the most prolific journalist during the Jabez series, has graciously accepted the invitation to log her life and thoughts on our site.  We are still negotiating a final format, but go ahead and click on the button as it is and read Joelle's first entry!  Any feedback, for now, can be entered in our regular Feedback column....

(we have tried to make this Feedback page really respondent friendly-- just click and follow the instructions in how to give us your feedback)

Welcome Joelle!

I would also like to draw your attention to a new Testimonial in that portion of our site. As you have read in some of my blogs, I have made reference to my "daughter-friend" Thinh Thinh.  You can find some of her story by clicking here:  http://www.tagnet.org/angelco-op/testimonials/2003-08.html  Thinh Thinh is on her way to Bangkok's World Youth Conference in late December of this year.  Our local Women's Ministries is helping to send her there.  We know that God is using this opportunity to expand her boundaries AND to expand those of the people who are playing an indirect role, in supporting her financially.  If you want to make a donation to this mission trip, please make your cheque out to:

ManSask SDA Conference

(indicate somewhere in a letter or on the cheque that it is to be used for "Thinh Thinh's trip to Bangkok for the World Youth Conference")

and mail to:

ManSask Conference of Seventh-day Adventists,
1004 Victoria Avenue,
Saskatoon, SK  S7N 0Z8

(Canadians, please request that an income tax deduction receipt be sent to you)

An alternative to making a monetary donation is to buy any of the products from the various merchants on the Angel Co-op site.  (Click onto the merchant's page from our site, and proceed with the purchase).  The 'affiliate commission' goes towards our WM projects, and we thank you for your patronage!

Have a fabulously blessed week!

Love, Cynthia
