When you buy bread, have you ever wondered which is freshest and squeeze for softness?  Bread is delivered fresh to stores five days a week – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Each delivery day has a different color twist tie:

·         Monday - Blue

·         Tuesday - Green

·         Thursday - Red

·         Friday - White

·         Saturday - Yellow

So if today was Thursday, you would want red twist tie and not white (which would be Friday’s bread – almost a week old)!

The colors are alphabetical by color, Blue - Green - Red - White - Yellow, Monday through Saturday - easy to remember.  I noticed that bread wrappers DO have different twist ties, and even the plastic clips have different colors...

And finally, for chapped lips apply chicken manure.  It dosen’t help the lips at all, but it will certainly keep you from licking them!
