.....I came across your website and thought I’d recount a little bit of my experience I had with the Coons. When my brother, sister, and I attended Far Eastern Academy in Singapore, the Coon Prayer Team came and presented a week of prayer at the college nearby. All the students from the academy attended the programs.

.....I can’t begin to tell you all the blessings I personally received from their ministry, and I know I was not the only one. The principles of prayer that they shared and lived have been passed on to my family and to congregations where others have heard second-hand the ABC’s of prayer. That was 1973, I believe. A true revival took hold at our school because after every meeting, groups of us students would, of our own volition, gather in a prayer circle, open our Bibles and claim God’s promises. We literally spent hours in prayer and didn’t know where the time went.

.....That year we had a witnessing group that traveled to different churches and shared. Many of the sermonettes were filled with more of the ABC principles of prayer. About 30 of us also took one month of our summer vacation to travel through the island of Java in Indonesia singing and sharing with thousands of people. The only way we were able to stay focused and be effective was to Ask, Believe, and Claim that God would be with us. And He did bless our efforts. I count that week of prayer and the after effects as one of the times of great spiritual growth in my life that has affected my entire life for good.

Now I live in the outskirts of Detroit Michigan and attend the Metropolitan SDA church in Plymouth, MI. My wife and I are in charge of the Family Ministries Department and have a Sabbath School in which we present various speakers with a devotional message each Sabbath.
